Native Hawaiian business owner, Carly Sai, created Ulupono Salon and Spa out of a lifelong desire to provide a space for Native Hawaiians and Hawai`i locals to take care of their beauty and wellness needs regardless of budget. Ulupono Salon and Spa not only provides professional services, but is designed to create jobs and train Native Hawaiians and Hawai`i locals to pursue a career within the beauty industry while giving back to the community.

Education is the foundation of everything we do. Our team undergoes monthly training conducted by professionals in-house or across the islands and nation. Classes are also open to beauty professionals from other businesses because we want to help grow the industry as a whole. The pride of our education lies with our Haumana Program - the on-the-job apprenticeship program designed to prepare future beauty professionals for licensing as beauty operators in Hawai`i.
